You investigated the problem, collecting information from few sources.
You listed some specification points.
3–4 (75 / 85) You described the problem, mentioning its relevance.
You investigated the problem, selecting and analysing information from some acknowledged sources.
You described a test to evaluate the product/solution against the design specification.
5–6 (95 / 100) You explained the problem, discussing its relevance.
You critically investigated the problem, evaluating information from a broad range of appropriate, acknowledged sources.
You described detailed methods for appropriate testing to evaluate the product/solution against the design specification.
Type a complete paragraph explaining your rating..
I should get a 2 or a 3 because I worked hard in my project and I took time to think about .I think I should get a 70 or a 75 because I  tried my best to make a comic book that the 6 graders would understand. I designed a comic book that would teach the 6 graders the design cycle. Thats why I think I should get a 2-3.

10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for who you are making it.
Formulate a Design Specification? I am doing a comic book, because it was better to do.The comic book is for the six graders

11. What are the requirements for this assignments? The requirements for the comic book is to be used to help the 6 graders

12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment? their are no limitation only the date it is due.

comic master

comic master

simplicity  7

music  4

color  6

total  17

I
gave  a  7 to  the  simplicity  of  comic  master .  The  good  thing  of  comic  master  is  that  it  already  has  all  the  drawings  done  and  that  you  almost  don't  have  to  to  do  almost  anything.  Another  thing about  comic  master is  that  it  already  has  the  characters  done  to use.  A  bad  thing  about  comic  master  is  that  you  cant  add  any  color  to  the  comics  because  it  is  already  done.
I  gave  a  6  the  color  of  comic  master  because  it  already  had  the  colors  on  the  characters and  on  the  background.  The  characters  are   very  detailed  and  they  have  many  kinds  of  colors  on  them.  The  thing  I  didn't  like  from  color  in  comic  master  is  that  it  had  the  color  was  already  on  the  comic  and that  the  characters  were  already  done.
I  gave  a  4  to  the  music  in  comic  master  because  it  only  had  about  3  kinds  of  songs  to  choose  from.  the  music  in  comic  master  was  not  good  and  their  was  not  much  music  to  choose  from.

Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world?
3. How will this project serve my community?
4. How can my learning help my community?
5. How do we live in relation to each other?
6. How does this help others?
7. What are the requirements for this assignment?
8. What is the Design Cycle?
REFLECT on your learning.
Day 2
9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle:
Day 3
Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
13. How will you "test" your presentation?
REFLECT ON YOUR LEARNING
PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
IB Brainstorming Chart .pdf found in schoology under “materials”& then files
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation.  Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
